Travis and I have had a very busy, yet perfect fall weekend! It all started with our friend Jayne’s birthday. We started at a German restaurant called Haus in the Crossroads district. I’m normally not a big bratwurst fan, but I thought I would give it a try since that is what they are known for. It was pretty tasty! I topped mine with pineapple, which was a really good combination.
Then we went to Sol Cantina to meet up with her other friends for drinks and to watch the Royals game.
On Saturday, we went up to Maryville for the Bearcat game. They won, of course! Score: 49-7. They played Northeastern State University from Oklahoma. We also got to visit with Travis’ parents.
Travis’ mom came home with us to spend a few days here.
This morning we woke up early to participate in the KC Zoo Run. I did it last year and really liked the course (it goes through the zoo) so Travis decided to do it with me this year.
Travis took more pictures on our camera, but we haven’t put those on the computer yet.
After that, we had lunch with my parents at BWW. Then we went to Red Barn Farm to get some apples for applesauce.
Time to watch the rest of the Chiefs game, then watch the Royals! We even have roast in the crockpot. To grade papers or not to grade papers…
