Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m so lucky to have a Valentine of six years! Here is us on our first Valentine’s Day together, almost a month after we had started dating.
We’re so young looking! Here is our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple.
Ever since Travis and I got married, we have talked about waking up super early and getting breakfast before going to work. This means we would need to be at the restaurant by 5:30. Since neither of us are really morning people, this has been all talk for 2 1/2 years. Well, we finally did it this morning! We went out to IHOP at 5:30 and had a yummy Valentine’s Day breakfast together.
Since Travis had the day off school (I know! He’s had more days off school lately than actually going to school) he has prepared my favorite meal for dinner: roast beef, noodles, and mashed potatoes (same as the meal pictured in our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple). He also made chocolate strawberries for dessert, yummy!
He got me the Les Miserables blue ray.
My return present to him? My opportunity to go chaperone a high school dance. I know, I’m really lucky to have such an amazing man!
Here’s the best Galentine’s Day present from my friend Jessica. (Galentine’s Day= Valentine’s Day with your gals. Is it a real term? I don’t know, but I saw someone else use it and thought I would too).
I ate smarties ALL DAY and didn’t share. One of my students got a huge sock monkey that stayed in my room most of the day. I treated it like a normal student…
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
